 Your
modem allows you to dial in to DALTRON and connect to the
Internet. You’ll also be using your modem to register
an account. Make sure the modem is connected to your computer
and is switched on. Windows 95/98 may have already been configured
for your modem in which case the following section can be
skipped. Click
on Start, Select Settings and then Control Panel. Double click
on Modems. If this is the first time you have installed a
modem, the Install New Modem Wizard will automatically run.
Otherwise, double click on the Add button.
Note:
A wizard is a program that helps you through difficult or
complex tasks by presenting a series of simple questions.
Click
on Next. Windows 95/98 will check for a modem on all COM ports
and attempt to identify your modem. This process will take
a few seconds to complete.

If
the modem shown is not your modem then click on Change, choose
your modem manufacturer from the Manufacturers list and the
model from the Models list and then click on OK.
